Concrete Paint

Concrete look paint is an easy to apply paint which creates a smooth, yet glossy effect, giving the vibrant effects of concrete.

Perfect for a modern look for any feature wall or room.

Primacol Conrete look paint is available in 4 ready made colours, or it can be coloured using Primacol Decorative Colourants

Each tub is enough to cover 4-6 meters squared.

The surface is simply prepared (ensuring it is smooth and free of cracks or holes), then applied with a roller for a perfect modern interior finish. It is suitable for any wall, wood, glass or even glossy materials.

Preparation

The area to be painted should be smooth, clean, dry and uniform. Fresh plaster can be painted after a four-week seasoning. Remove peeling or flaking paint.

Older painted area’s should be cleaned before application, with water (and detergent if needed). Fill cavities with filler.

It is recommended to prime or paint any high absorbing materials (like fresh plasterboard).

Important! The concrete-look paint does not tolerate raw gypsum well. For gypsum plaster or all surfaces containing gypsum, e.g. repairs with gypsum fillers, it is necessary to apply two layers of Priming Agent order to make it work.

How to Apply

Open the container and mix the contents thoroughly.

1. Apply the paint with a roller within an area of up to 1 m2 at a time. Then smooth with a trowel

2. Allow the first layer to dry. This first layer does not need to be perfect.

3. Apply step 1 again, but this time, leave a few gaps here and there to give the effect of broken/chipped concrete.

The concrete-look paint can be coloured using Primacol Decorative Colourant.

The coverage area:  Approx 1.5-2.5kg/m² (depending on desired final effect)

Tools required:  Medium Pile Microfiber Roller & Decorative Trowel

Total Dry time:  24 hours

Capacity:  8kg

Due to limitations of printing technology, the presented colour should be considered as approximate only. Any deviation shall not be the reason for any customer complaint. Request a pattern book with accurate colours from your us or drop by to our showroom in Dublin. Always make a spot test before painting to become familiar with the paint application method. For larger areas, use products from the same batch.

Important! Plan your work properly to use up the prepared paint as soon as possible but within 24 hours. Otherwise, it is very likely that the glittery effect will be less visible.

Painting must be performed at a room and substrate temperature > 5 °C
